What is the validity for cheque?

The cheque with date of issue that exceeds 180 days from date of cheque or time period specified on the cheque is considered as stale cheque. The stale cheques will be returned automatically from the clearing House before being received by the Paying Member. NRB, Nepal Government and its Local body’s cheque has validity of 30 days. Hence, cheque older than 30 days are marked as stale cheque.
